Washington Township, Gloucester County, NJ – Nov 18, 2016, SJ Times/NJ.Com – Kennedy Health plans to build a new seven-story patient tower and a 700-space parking garage on its Washington Township campus.
Construction on the $225 million project could begin in late 2018. Kennedy employs nearly 2,000 workers around its sprawling Township campus.
CES has been chosen to provide full site engineering for the 200,000 square foot building and parking garage, starting with pre-design that included a full property survey, studies, and discussions with the Washington Township Municipal Utilities Authority, traffic analysis, parking counts and analysis, and evaluation of multiple possible solutions for this complex project.
Full design and approvals are underway for this and a similar project at the Cherry Hill Kennedy Health Facility.


Social Service Provider – Wastewater Treatment

Pittsgrove Township, Salem County, NJ – A Social Service Provider expanded to better serve the community. CES successfully completed planning, design, permitting and construction oversight for the commissioning of a wastewater treatment plant with a base flow rate of 12,000 gpd. The process consisted of an anoxic/aerobic biological nutrient removal activated sludge plant.
Upon commissioning, our staff continued client service as the NJ State Licensed S-2 Wastewater Treatment Operator for the plant. CES was responsible for all effluent and monitoring requirements stipulated in the NJPDES Discharge Permit. This facility required compliance with the following regulations: New Jersey Water Pollution Control Act, New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Regulations, and Ground Water Quality Standards.
Freedom Pier Walkway – Waterfront
Services: Gloucester City, Camden County, NJ – Gloucester City enhance its Delaware River waterfront with a 1,300 feet long, 10 feet wide stamped concrete walkway, extending from the existing waterfront senior citizen apartment building and wrapping around Gloucester City’s Freedom Pier. This Green Acres funded project will allow residents and visitors over 3,000 total feet of walkway along the Delaware River, with access to the existing marina and the many activities Gloucester City has along the waterfront during the summer months. Work completed by CES included design and specifications for the installation of concrete and brick sidewalk, decorative fencing, benches, trash receptacles, solar powered lighting, and pedestrian ramps.


Wishing Well Plaza – Big Box
Burlington Township, Burlington County, NJ – Wishing Well Plaza is a large community commercial center located on Route 541 – Mt Holly Road, near Sunset Road in Burlington Township, New Jersey.
CES provided engineering design and permitting, and construction is underway for a new anchor, 40,393 square feet Burlington Coat Factory, which follows an 88,000 square feet Eickhoff ShopRite Supermarket. These projects were separate submissions.
CES has completed construction of several ShopRite stores throughout South Jersey. We have a good working relationship with the facilities professionals at Cooperative Parent Company – Wakefern Foods and the shopping center owners.

Gloucester Township, Camden County – CES was chosen to provide full site engineering and permitting for this new 107,000 square feet classroom building and for renovations to the existing Taft Hall.
Construction was completed in 2013 on the three-story science and classroom building. The LEED certified facility is located on the vacant parcel between Taft Hall and the McDonnell Criminal Justice Center. The structure contains 18 biology and chemistry labs, a dental clinic, a nursing arts center, a demo kitchen, 26 classrooms, faculty and administrative offices, and a Student Commons/Café.

West Deptford Township, Gloucester County, NJ CES was chosen to provide full engineering services for this project that includes two proposed warehouse distribution buildings, each having 385,000 square feet for a total of 770,000 square feet. The project is located on an industrial stretch between COIM USA and a large solar energy complex. It was formerly the Huntsman Polypropylene Site.
The project had difficult county road engineering issues and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection issues.
The project should be ready for construction in the near future as a great new ratable for the township.
Essex Chase Apartments at Camelot – Multifamily
Glassboro Borough, Gloucester County, New Jersey – Construction was recently completed and a grand opening held for Essex Chase Apartments. This 252 unit apartment rental community on 33 acres was constructed and is owned by Fieldstone Associates.
Started more than 10 years ago and moving toward a new South Jersey community stretching over portions of Glassboro Borough and Elk Township, Camelot/AURA is becoming a strong community of residential and commercial opportunities. Community partners include Beazer Homes, D.R. Horton, Ryan Homes, Chiusano Homes, and Canuso Homes.
Engineering and approvals included County Road widening and entrance approvals, and special attention to stormwater requirements.
