  Survey Technician
 

Position Overview:

The Survey Technician reviews and processes the results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features.  This position works under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

Typical Duties:

Produce CAD drawings on a large number of concurrent projects, to include title surveys, topographic surveys, base drawings for engineering design, coordinate control plans, and subdivision plats. Occasional engineering drawings may be produced under direction of a Professional Engineer. Search legal and survey records and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed. Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. Prepare preliminary descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases or other legal documents 5. Coordinate findings with the work of engineers, clients and others involved in projects.

Education/Experience:

Minimum 5 years of related work experience. Strong mathematical background, including algebra and trigonometry.

Skills and Special Requirements/ Licensing: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, ArcGIS or equivalent software experience optional

Civil Engineering Project Engineer

Position Overview:

Consulting Engineer Services (CES) is offering an exciting career opportunity for an individual to work with a team to provide design and permitting of land development Site Plans, Subdivision Plans, including: utility, grading, drainage, landscaping and lighting, road plans and profiles, and SCS plans for residential and commercial projects. Municipal design may include sewer and water, pump stations, traffic engineering, dam or bridge design. Must have the ability to review municipal ordinances and state regulations to provide due diligence reviews and complete submissions. All design work is under the direction of a Licensed Professional Engineer. Salary will commensurate with experience.

Typical Duties:

Position requires knowledge of grading, traffic and pedestrian circulation, utility placement and design, parking lots, soil erosion mitigation methods, landscaping and lighting and Storm Water Management. An understanding of RSIS, BMP, SCS and other agency requirements, or permitting/entitlement experience a plus.

Educational Experience:

5+ years design experience required. Bachelors Degree, EIT, or PE required. Must be detail oriented, organized and have excellent written and communication skills with understanding of MS Word, Excel, etc. Must have a valid driver's license.
